nbnq is a: VQF SRO member – member of an officially recognised self-regulatory organisation pursuant to the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act.

The Financial Services Standards Association (VQF) is a self-regulatory organisation officially recognised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA. VQF is responsible for supervising its members’ compliance with the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act and the applicable VQF SRO Regulations.

nbnq is supervised by VQF in relation to anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist-financing compliance. nbnq is not directly supervised by FINMA and does not hold a FINMA banking, securities-firm, financial-institution or FinTech licence.

VQF membership:

  • does not constitute a FINMA licence;

  • does not mean that FINMA has approved nbnq’s services, financial position or business model;

  • does not constitute prudentially supervision of nbnq; and

  • does not provide any guarantee concerning nbnq obligations or the value or availability of customer assets.

Fiat, IBAN, payment or card functionality, where available, is provided through the relevant regulated or authorised third-party provider under that provider’s own terms, approval process and regulatory responsibility.

nbnq provides digital-asset exchange, transfer and custodial-wallet functionality within the scope of its documented business model and applicable Swiss legal and regulatory requirements.

FINMA confirms that financial intermediaries affiliated with an SRO are supervised by their respective SRO and not directly by FINMA. VQF likewise describes itself as the FINMA-recognised SRO responsible for supervising its members’ compliance with AMLA.
